Stop eating out at restaurants or ordering food via Ubereats and other apps for a year. Instead, cook all your meals at home. Since you are an adult that is no longer growing, don't buy any new clothes for a year. Wash and reuse your old clothes. Cut out beer, wines, Coca-Cola and other drinks, and just drink tap water for the next year. Not only will that be good for your health, but it will also be good for your wallet. Eliminate smoking, clubbing, and partying. Cancel your Netflix subscription and read books instead. Manage your old phone, and don't upgrade it.

Then, invest 50% of the money you have saved in the VOO, VFIAX, SPY, QQQ, VWO, SCHD, or any other well-regarded ETF. Invest 25% in a combination of Bitcoin, Chainlink, and Bitcoin Cash. Finally, invest the balance 25% in stocks of the Magnificent Seven companies minus Tesla (Alphabet (Google)), NVIDIA, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple.

After you do this, become a ghost for another year while your investments percolate. Go to work and return home to read and work out. You will be building your mind and body. And then, on Friday, go to the mosque for Salatul-Jumu'ah if you are a Muslim and return home. If you are Christian, go to your regular service and return home. Then, you pray every morning and night. 

If you can sacrifice two years of your life for this discipline, which is approximately 2.5% of your life, I can almost guarantee you that you will live the rest of your life as the best of your life. You will conquer poverty with your investments. You will conquer sickness and counter ageing via your daily workouts. And your mind will be sharp as a razor due to your regular reading. And finally, you will draw closer to God. 

These are practical steps to success that anybody can take to achieve results. Because if you want what you have never gotten, you must also do what you have never done. 

If you like, scoff and insult. If God spares all our lives for the next two years, you will likely be in the same financial, mental, physical and spiritual situation that you are in today.

Teknik Pomodoro

Teknik #Pomodoro ini satu kaedah pengurusan masa yang sangat membantu bila otak dah mula serabut atau susah nak fokus.

Apa Itu Teknik Pomodoro?

Pomodoro ni sebenarnya nama alat pemasa dapur yang bentuknya macam tomato. Ia dimulakan oleh seorang warga Itali bernama Francesco Cirillo semasa dia belajar.

Dia set timer selama 25 minit, fokus buat kerja… lepas tu ambil rehat sekejap. Itu je asasnya.

Macam Mana Nak Guna? Senang je, ikut langkah ni:

Pilih satu tugas yang nak dibuat.
- Contohnya: nak siapkan satu slide, nak tulis satu artikel, atau nak habiskan baca satu bab buku.

Set pemasa selama 25 minit.
- Dalam tempoh ni, cuba fokus sepenuhnya. Jauhkan gangguan – tutup notifikasi, letak telefon jauh, jangan buka media sosial.

Buat kerja sampai timer berbunyi.
- Kalau tiba-tiba ada idea lain atau gangguan, tulis tepi dulu, teruskan kerja asal.

Lepas 25 minit, rehat 5 minit.
- Bangun, regangkan badan, ambil air, tengok luar tingkap, tarik nafas panjang. Janji jangan buat kerja masa ni.

Ulang 4 kali pomodoro (25 minit x 4).
- Lepas tu, ambil rehat panjang – dalam 15 hingga 30 minit.

Kenapa Teknik Ni Best?

- Tak bosan sangat. Buat kerja sikit-sikit je tapi konsisten.

- Bantu otak fokus. Kita tahu ada rehat lepas ni, jadi lebih mudah push diri.

- Elak tangguh kerja. Bila nampak tugas tu “hanya 25 minit je”, lebih mudah nak mula.

- Kurang stres. Kerja jadi lebih teratur, tak rasa terbeban.

Teknik ni sangat sesuai kalau rasa otak jem nak cari idea kreatif, atau bila kerja banyak sangat sampai tak tahu nak mula dari mana.

Motivation VS Discipline

Aim for discipline, not motivation.

Motivation is just a feeling.
Discipline is a habit.
Discipline is the key to success.

99% of the success I have experienced has been directly correlated with my ability to act despite how I feel.

That’s why when people say, “How do you stay motivated?”
The answer is, “I don’t.”

I don’t rely on my feelings to get the job done. If anything, I can only count on my feelings to delay the job from getting done.

Feelings are fleeting and often illogical. Relying on a sensation to accomplish anything will leave you inconsistent and ultimately deter you from success.

The key is to build your “Get shit done when I feel like shit” muscle. Because that’s the truth, every ounce of your being will want to avoid or excuse… but you do it anyway.

Things I tell myself to build the GSD muscle…

“If you’re going to do it eventually, you may as well do it now.”
“I don’t need to feel good to stick with the plan.”
“If I do what’s hard now, the later will be easy.”
